Community Faith Wealth Mission

Legacy Starts
Right Here.

People are counting on us. And we show up — every time.

Community Faith Wealth Mission exists to tear down the financial barriers that have held entire communities back for generations. Through grant-funded access, financial literacy education, and entrepreneurship training, we are building a future where every family owns something, understands their money, and passes wealth — not poverty — to the next generation.

Why We Exist

A Movement Built for Your Community

01

The Problem We're Solving

Too many people in our communities have been locked out — not because they lack talent, not because they lack drive, but because they were never given access. The knowledge to build a business, the vocabulary of wealth, the confidence to walk into a bank or a boardroom — these things were never handed to everyone equally. Entire generations have been left on the outside of the American dream, not by choice, but by circumstance.

02

What We Do

Community Faith Wealth Mission provides grant-funded programs — free and subsidized — so that cost is never the reason someone walks away from building a better life. We cover financial literacy, business education, marketing and sales strategy, AI-powered learning, entrepreneurship coaching, co-op and commercial space access, and community networking. We remove barriers. We build bridges. And we do it rooted in faith, community, and an unshakeable belief that every person deserves a seat at the table.

03

The Vision

When CFWM succeeds, you will see it in the neighborhoods. You will see it in storefronts owned by people who were told they couldn't. You will see it in families who understand their finances, who have savings accounts and business plans and retirement goals. You will see it in young people who grew up watching their parents build something — and who believe, with every fiber of who they are, that they can build something too. That is the legacy we are working toward.

“I didn't start CFWM because it was easy. I started it because people were counting on me — and I refuse to let them down. Every workshop we run, every grant we write, every entrepreneur we coach is proof that when you show up for your community, your community rises. That's the mission. That's the faith. That's everything.”

— Dawn Hardwick, President & CEO, Community Faith Wealth Mission
Our Vision

In five years, the communities we serve will look different — in the best possible way. We envision neighborhoods anchored by locally owned businesses, families who navigate financial decisions with confidence, and young people who graduate with business plans instead of just diplomas. We see nonprofits across New Jersey that were once struggling for funding now standing strong because CFWM taught them how to become grant-ready.

Community Faith Wealth Mission is not building programs. We are building a movement. A movement where faith meets financial empowerment, where community ownership is the expectation, and where the legacy we leave is measured not in what we accumulated — but in what the next generation inherits.

This is bigger than any one person. This is a movement.

Impact

Why Foundations Fund CFWM

CFWM isn't just talking about change — we are doing the work, in the community, every day. We are the organization grantors look for: community-rooted, outcomes-driven, financially responsible, and led by someone who has lived the mission.

68%

of low-income families have never received formal financial education.

CFWM is closing that gap — one workshop, one coaching session, one entrepreneur at a time.

5× Return

Every $1 invested in financial literacy education reduces poverty-related costs by $5 over ten years.

When you fund CFWM, you're not making a donation — you're making a high-return investment in community transformation.

#1 Driver

Small business ownership is the #1 driver of generational wealth in underserved communities.

CFWM equips entrepreneurs with the education, coaching, and access they need to build businesses that last — and legacies that outlive them.

CFWM serves the whole person: the dreamer who's never written a business plan, the single parent who wants financial freedom, the nonprofit that doesn't know how to apply for the funding it deserves, the young person who just needs someone to believe in them.

When you fund CFWM, you fund a community.

Is Your Nonprofit Grant-Ready? We'll Get You There.

CFWM doesn't just apply for grants — we teach other nonprofits how to do it too. Because we've been where you are: passionate about the work, struggling to find the funding, and wondering why grant applications keep coming back rejected. The answer, more often than not, isn't the mission. It's the infrastructure.

What “Grant-Ready” Actually Means

Being grant-ready means more than having a good idea. Grantors — foundations, federal agencies, and corporate giving programs — look for organizations that have their house in order. That means:

EIN (Employer Identification Number) — your nonprofit's federal tax identity
Bylaws — the governing document that shows how your organization operates
501(c)(3) Determination Letter — your proof of tax-exempt status from the IRS
Financial Statements — a clear picture of your income, expenses, and financial health
Active Website — a credible online presence that shows grantors you are real and functioning
Board of Directors — a governing board that provides oversight and accountability

Understanding Your Grant Options

Not all grants work the same way — and knowing the difference can change your strategy. CFWM teaches you how to identify the right grant type, how to approach each one, and how to build a pipeline so you're never relying on a single source of funding.

Rolling Grants

Open year-round with no hard deadline — apply anytime. CFWM helps you identify rolling grant opportunities and build an application pipeline so funding never stops.

Federal Grants

Government-funded, larger awards, more documentation required — competitive but transformational. We guide you through every requirement so your application stands out.

Restricted Grants

Funds designated for a specific purpose — must align tightly with the funder's priorities. CFWM helps you match your programs to the right restricted grants and report accurately.

Grant Stacking

Strategically combining multiple smaller grants to fully fund a program or initiative. The smart move for growing nonprofits — and something CFWM teaches you to do with confidence.

We've Been in Those Shoes. We Know What Grantors Look For.

Our founder spent 5 years navigating the grant-seeking process before CFWM received its first award. We learned what works, what doesn't, and what grantors are really looking for when they read an application. We bring that hard-won knowledge directly to the nonprofits we serve.

“You may need $150,000 for operations — but no single grantor will fund it all. Grant stacking means applying to multiple funders to reach your total. We guide you through the process — from getting your legal and financial documents in order, to building a compelling case statement, to submitting your first application with confidence. You don't have to figure this out alone.”

Our Story

Meet Dawn Hardwick — President & CEO

Some people talk about serving their community. Dawn Hardwick built an organization around it.

With more than 35 years of business experience spanning corporate finance, operations management, and entrepreneurship, Dawn has spent her career at the intersection of business excellence and community service. She spent years managing payroll and financial operations for a Fortune 500 company — overseeing the accounts of more than 13,000 retirees and understanding, in the most direct way possible, what financial stability really means to a family.

She learned early that financial knowledge is not just professional — it is personal. It is generational. It is the difference between a family that struggles and a family that thrives. But Dawn didn't stop there. She founded DLB Consulting Group LLC, her for-profit consulting business, bringing her corporate expertise to entrepreneurs and small businesses who needed real-world guidance.

And then — driven by faith, fueled by a vision she couldn't shake — she founded Community Faith Wealth Mission. CFWM was not born in a boardroom. It was born from a belief — deeply held, faith-grounded, and impossible to ignore — that every person, regardless of income, background, or zip code, deserves access to the knowledge, tools, and support to build something of their own.

Dawn spent five years navigating the grant-seeking process herself before CFWM received its first award. She didn't hire a consultant. She did the work, learned the system, and built the infrastructure from the ground up — because she knew that one day, she would teach others how to do the same. That knowledge now lives inside every CFWM program.

Today, Dawn leads CFWM with the same conviction she started with: that communities thrive when their members own something. That wealth, when built with intention, becomes a legacy. That faith — in God, in community, in the dignity of every human being — is not separate from business. It is the foundation of it.

“CFWM was born from a belief that every person — regardless of income — deserves access to the knowledge, tools, and support to build something of their own. I've seen what happens when people get that access. They don't just change their lives. They change everything around them. That's what we're building here. That's the mission I wake up for every single day.”

— Dawn Hardwick

Dawn's Vision for the Next Generation

Dawn's deepest hope for CFWM is not measured in programs delivered or grants awarded — it is measured in the futures it unlocks. She envisions a generation of young people who grow up in communities where entrepreneurship is normal, where financial literacy is taught at the dinner table, where the legacy passed down is not debt but ownership. She is building CFWM so that the next generation inherits not just money, but the mindset, the tools, and the community to multiply it.

Because generational wealth isn't about what you leave behind. It's about what you build together — right now, for the people who come after.
